Overall equipement efficiency (OEE)
The total maintenance approach uses the OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) as a machine performance indicator. A comprehensive assessment of the overall efficiency rate, based on the identification of the six major loss types, shows that it often only reaches 50 or 60%, i.e. machines are only used at about 50% of their capacity.
Through this training, employees learn to identify the losses affecting the equipment efficiency, to collect the required data on-site, and use the OEE assessment formula.
