Visual management includes methods and systems that prompt plant employees to get involved in the standardization effort and implement the best work practices. The visual plant encourages communication and the sharing of information concerning the standard procedures. This way, each employee is well aware of what is expected him/her in terms of production requirements, handling procedures, work-in-process space requirements, tool storage, etc.
