6 Sigma

The Greek letter sigma, the mathematical sign that stands for the standard deviation, is an excellent symbol to designate the 6 sigma company. Such a company aims at reducing the variation on matters that are Critical To Customer, or CTC. The 6 sigma company uses a large toolbox filled with statistical and other useful concepts. The key to success is to adopt an adequate organizational structure to support the effort. Black Belts (BB) and Master Black Belts (MBB) are trained to become the project managers mandated to use the 6 sigma tools to solve various types of problems.
